Welcome to the AAUW-MA dialog

Hi,

This is my first attempt at creating a blog. I am hoping it will become a way for us to communicate and keep in touch. Let's get a dialog started on issues on interest to us.

  1. I enjoyed the slide show...looks like you had a great time, wish I could have been there with you. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the Convention.

  2. Great slideshow, Hollie. The blog is a good way to stay connected between meetings. I am slowly beginning to gear up for our Fall AAUW activities. Hate to see summer fade away, so will enjoy the rest of August. Did put in some time yeaterday in Peabody Square for a show of support for health care reform in front of Rep. Tierney's office -- the "opposition" was on the ohter side of the square, so no nasty confrontations while I was there. I know there were some very nasty folks on the other side as we had to "deal" with them while campaigning for President Obama last fall. The vitriol won't go away. Anyone else have "encounters" over this issue??

  3. Just want to congratulate Barbara, Beryl,Cris, and, of course, Hollie, on a great Fall meeting last Saturday. I didn't realize how much I needed to be educated about the census! Isn't that the great thing about AAUW and AAUW-MA, always learning something new,or more in-depth. Thank you all and thanks to our college students from Salem State and Mount Holyoke who inspired us even more. Start fundraising for NCCWSL -- now!
Thanks to all my fellow North Shore Area and Newburyport members who braved the monsoon-like weather -- we made a great showing! We'll be having a major fund-raiser on Saturday, November 21st at the Georgetown Library, with Stephen Puleo, author of "The Boston Italians". If you can be in the area at 10am,please join us!
Want more info on NCCWSL or how to fundraise for it? Let me know: ekf226@comcast.net
